Description
KARL STORZ UH 400 Surgical Generator
The New Standard in Electrosurgery for Urology
Designed to give surgeons better control, deliver a more precise cut, and easily integrate into the OR, the UH 400 sets new standards in surgical energy delivery. Unlike any generator of its kind, the UH 400 delivers energy smarter with Advanced Response Control (ARC) Tissue Sensing Technology. The energy is then precisely targeted to the surgical site with the industry’s only True Bipolar electrode; available exclusively from KARL STORZ.
The powerful combination of ARC Tissue Sensing Technology delivered in a True Bipolar Platform makes the UH 400 from KARL STORZ the Most Advanced Energy Platform of its kind
Smarter Energy Delivery
ARC Tissue Sensing Technology
The UH 400’s Advanced Response Control Tissue Sensing Technology automatically adjusts the power output in response to different tissue types. With ARC, the optimal amount of energy is delivered for a consistent performance, improved hemostasis, and a more precise dissection.
Not all Bipolar Technologies are the Same
Committed to the AUA Guidelines, only KARL STORZ has a True Bipolar System.3 KARL STORZ True Bipolar electrodes are uniquely designed to incorporate both the active and return electrodes. Energy is concentrated at the distal tip, flowing exclusively between two electrodes. This enables the least amount of energy dispersal and the greatest amount of control.
In monopolar surgery, energy travels from the electrode tip, through the surgical site, back through the patient to the grounding pad. Traditional bipolar systems have modified monopolar circuits and use the sheath as the return electrode. Because of this, traditional bipolar systems are only semi-bipolar.
In this method a greater amount of energy is dispersed giving the surgeon limited control of the surgical effect.
Electrodes Specific to Your Clinical Needs
The UH 400 is a multi-purpose generator delivering both monopolar and bipolar electrical current for cutting, coagulation, vaporization and dissection during endoscopic procedures. To support various clinical needs, KARL STORZ offers a wide variety of monopolar and bipolar electrodes for endourological procedures.
