Overview Of System Features
As a manually operated instruments, The Model 800B is as easy to use as an ordinary sound level meter. Front panel controls on the 800B are laid out in a very clean, readable pattern for ease in determining analyzer status at a glance. The large, linear 60 dB display on the 800B minimizes the frequent SPL range changes normally required on many competitive analyzers. For example, you can view from 30 to 90 dB SPL with a single range setting. Offering both RMS Impulse and Integrate with three switch selectable exchange rates of 3-4-5dB for the measurement of LEQ, LDOD and LOSHA.
As a computer controlled instrument all comparisons between the Model 800B and controlled instrument all comparisons between the Model 800B and conventional SPL and LEQ meters end. The computer controlled 800B and conventional SPL and LEQ meters end. The computer controlled 800B is even easier to use than a conventional sound level meter because the computer handles all of the system setup tasks automatically, and that includes turning the analyzer on or off. The computer actually simplifies the human interface. All you have to do is plug the computer cable into the 800B and touch a button to activate the particular measurement routine that you would like to use. Data tables, histograms, charts and graphs are printed automatically.
